Meet Our Team | Corsicana

Dr. Taft earned a bachelors, masters and doctorate in psychology from Baylor University. He completed his Clinical Internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1999 where he studied adult forensic assessment and clinical counseling extensively. 

Dr. Smith joined our group part-time in 2010. Since 1994 Dr. Smith has practiced as a licensed psychologist in Texas, working with children and families in Dallas. After seven years as a community mental health provider.
 

Lara Proctor is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor who completed her undergraduate study at Texas A&M University in 1996 and earned a Masters Degree in Counseling from Texas A&M

Carin Palmer has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013. She believes one of the hardest things you may ever have to do is ask for help.  It takes courage to be vulnerable in what may be a monumental hurt, life-changing event, or unbearable task.

Lucie Collins Black is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in 1985 and her Masters of Science in Educational Psychology at Baylor University in 1999.

Alyssa is our Operations Manager. She was born and raised in Corsicana, Texas. She graduated in the top 10 of her senior class from Kerens High School in 2009. She attended Navarro College for two years before leaving to be a full time mom. Alyssa is now a mother of three beautiful kids, Ian, Mia and Evi.

Mona Prichard received her BS in Home Economics Education from University of North Texas and a Master of Educational Leadership from Stephen F Austin University. She spent 25 years in the education field, teaching in Texas and Oklahoma a

Jenny received her MS in Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  She served as a police officer, teacher, school counselor, assistant principal and then a behavior specialist in education for 16 years-servicing all age levels.  

Caren Brown-Smith is a dually licensed psychological associate and a licensed specialist in school psychology in the state of Texas since 1997. She earned a bachelors in psychology from Baylor University 

Daphne completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006, and worked in the health and fitness industry for several years, where she uncovered her true calling: supporting others in becoming the best versions of themselves, mentally and emotionally. 

Lisa is our Client Care Coordinator. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved around a lot in her younger life. She settled in Corsicana, Tx in 2007 and has worked in the medical field since.

Shannon Higgins is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services and a minor in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling with a minor in Psychology from Amberton University.

Dr. Gonzalez is a bilingual clinical psychologist with specialized experience in forensic and correctional psychology. She earned her Psy.D. from Northern Arizona University, an APA accredited program
