
Shannon Higgins, LPC-Supervisor
Shannon Higgins is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services and a minor in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling with a minor in Psychology from Amberton University. She has over 23 years of experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is now excited to join Taft and Associates in Corsicana, TX.
Specializing in individual, group, family, child, and adolescent therapy, Shannon is passionate about raising awareness of Narcissistic Abuse and Domestic Violence. As a survivor and licensed counselor, she brings a unique perspective. She holds the National Certification as a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC) and is a Certified Christian Counselor.
Shannon utilizes an interactive approach and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level1 trained among others. Her expertise includes anxiety disorders, mood disorders, grief recovery, and parenting challenges.
Focusing on practical support, she tailors her therapeutic methods to help clients navigate personal challenges, encouraging them to build on their strengths and achieve their growth goals.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
