Kristen Campbell, LPC

HEADSHOT.HEIC

Kristen received her Bachelor's in Education at West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. She taught in Amarillo for a number of years before moving back home. Once home, she felt the nudge to return to West Texas A & M and enrolled in the LPC/School Counseling Dual Program to earn her Master's in Counseling. Kristen began her counseling career in the education setting as a school counselor with Ennis ISD. She also serves adult clients in the evenings at a private practice in Waxahachie as an LPC.  Kristen keeps the following quote in her heart to guide her in the therapeutic office. The quote is from Fredrick Douglass and says "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." With Kristen's extensive background in working with children, she understands the impact early therapeutic intervention can have on an individual.  Although Kristen works well with children, she has seen a wide array of clients. One set of clients she enjoys working with are those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Kristen see's the clients individually and in a group setting. Kristen has also worked with a number of Ellis County families on their journey to adoption through screenings, observations, and interviews. In addition, Kristen has worked with a variety of clients which include symptoms of anxiety, depression, negative self-esteem, complex PTSD, PTSD, schizophrenia, couple's conflict, infidelity, domestic abuse, and parenting. When Kristen is not in the therapy office, you will find her tending to her houseplants and loving on her little yorkie named Oliver.
